I am planning to take part in this project. I have chosen the theme "facing forward". Once I receive my sketchbook and start filling it I will start posting bits here and on my website to help hype the project.

Collaborative book-art projects really get my gears going...and maybe you too? Anyone can participate so check out the link and get yourself a sketchbook. ALL SKETCHBOOKS will be cataloged and available for public viewing in the Brooklyn Art Library after going on tour across the US. Pretty neat, I think. Every month I create a little fold able activity booklet for Encore Cinemas. It is for kids to look at while the wait for their movie to start. Just finished the July issue. Here is a little preview. Keep in mind it is all one one page (front and back) and is meant to be folded.

Come and check out the Portable Library Project! This is "an exhibition of cigar box libraries and miniature books" which I was a participant of well over a year ago.

The collection has been on a cross-Canada tour and is finally coming to Ontario! I don't even know if I can make it, but if you can make it out to this opening, it would be awesome to know there are supporters out there! Don't worry if it is too much of a trek; the collection will be hitting Toronto very soon!

Went to Walking With the Dinosaurs today. Holy AWESOME! There is nothing I want more than to just hang out and look at dinosaurs all day! These things were massive puppets/robots/who knows what that roared and ate and battled. It was the best! I sure love dinosaurs.

New site is nearly done. It is up now if you would like a sneak peek, but it is still a little glitchy. I will work on that this week.

Brief hiatus there while I moved to Toronto and settled myself into this city of sunshine and sweat. Finally starting to feel at home, and I'm ready to make some drawings.

Working on all kinds of things; one of which is a wedding invitation. Here are a few pieces of it.

New website underway. Hoping to launch it VERY SOON, so be ready! Now go outside and enjoy the sun!

The Sheridan Illustration Graduate Exhibition was a grand success! Thanks to everyone involved for your support and energy! Check out the Graduate website at www.sheridanillustration.ca

Here I am hanging my work before the show. We worked for so long towards this event that it feels strange to have it finally be over. When everyone's work came down it really hit me that college is over. Time for real life.

The show got some pretty good exposure as far as I can tell. We had a full page feature in the National Post, and had a segment on CityTV. Blog TO has a beautiful post about us, and Travis Magazine called us "bad-ass to the bone".

But my favorite is our review in Pins & Needles , if only because I got a very nice shout-out ("raw and whimsical cartoony style" sounds about right, thanks Krystal!)

The Sheridan Illustration Graduate Exhibition was a full year of work for myself (as Illustration Collective president), my elected council, my entire graduating cohort, our incredible faculty, and the Sheridan community. Together we worked with Rethink Communications to create a two day exhibition, publish a beautiful book, and create a website to feature the work of over 70 illustration graduates under the theme Illustrators are Multidimensional.
